The Reaper's Game

"The Windows are lighting up? Apparently, if you tap the Player pin, you see what you can use as your Psychs.... which are what you fight the Noise with.... And you use the objects along with a pin you buy." I say.

Cora nodded thoughtfully. "Interesting," She murmured. The next store over was a local weapon's shop, and she had seen quite a few objects shining brightly in there...

I walk outside, and find the Reaper we talked to the day before. "Cora...." I say, trying to get her attention.

The Reaper gives a cold grin, and Noise appears, and tries to attack us. I grab the hose cap I just bought, and squeeze it, and it sprays the Noise into a wall, and crushes them, and they disappear in a flash of light.

I grin. "Heh heh heh....."

The Reaper gives a weird stare. "Hmm, I was going easy on you. Cora needs to find her Psych before I do anything major."

Cora rolled her eyes. "Yeah, that's it..." She mumbled, walking into another store.

I follow her. "Hmm, I'll be right back." Heading to the Pin station at the front of the store, buying a pin with a fire emblem on it, and snap it onto the hose.

"Scolding Hot water, heh heh...." I say.

Cora bought the same Pin, but instead, she paired it with a flare gun.

".....Now you're scaring me." I say, looking at what she bought. "Alright, anything else we should buy? I think we have our Psychs we need."

Cora grinned. "Sorry...And yeah, I think this is good for now," She said, twirling the flare gun in her hand before sticking it in her belt.

"...Alright."

((Bye the way, he is sort of Anti-Social. He is only working with Cora because he has to.))

"....Oh look, people.... Players. Look at the Pins."

"Yeah, we aren't the only ones in this game. Come on, let's get out of here," Cora said.

(I think Cora is actually starting to like the guy...xD)

"...Sigh. Anyway, let's try and get to tommorow. I want out of this game." He lies his head against a wall and closed his eyes.

Day 3
"Hey princess, wake up." I nudge Cora.

(No, the pizza man...Yes, Jesse!)

"Who are you calling princess?" Cora mumbled, rubbing her eyes and sitting up.

I give a smug grin. "Well, glad your awake. Let's see what the challenge is before.... Wait.... what's with the City? All the power is out!"

Incoming Message

Seems that the Noise around here has taken out the Power Generators. Get them started in one hour, or face erasure.

My hand hurts, and then, a timer shows up on my hand. "....Alright, one hour..... Where are the generators."

A Red Hoodie Reaper appears. "Use your Player pin. Use it to read the minds of people. Oh, and don't bother trying to scan Players and Reapers. They're immune."

Cora tapped her Pin, and it lit up. Suddenly, her mind was filled with the thoughts of others.
"This is so weird..."

"Alright, there is a construction worker over there." I get closer to him and read his mind. "......In the sewers.... ugh...."

"What, you don't like getting your hands dirty? Sorry bud, we're going," Cora said, picking up a manhole cover and sliding inside.

"I don't like the smell. Plus I have bad memories. I fell in a Sewer grate once...." I say. Then follow her down. "Hmm, can you use the flare gun to light this place up?" I ask.

"Sure, if you want me to burn the place down in the process," Cora retorted, climbing down the ladder.

"In a Sewer made of Concrete? We need a light." I say. "And I think the Generator is north of here."

"Alright then, smart guy, I'll just light it up. Hopefully we won't get burned," Cora mumbled, taking out her flare gun. She pressed down on the trigger, and a ball of fire blasted out of the tip, heading north from their location. "...Is that good enough?"

"Yeah. Thank you." I say. I lead the way. We end up in a room with a Generator. ".....Now what?" The Player pin begins to vibrate.

Cora looked down, her Pin vibrating. "Now what?"

"Guess we use the pin" I say.

"You go first," Cora said, tacking a step back.

I use the pin, and then, noise show up around me.

"Err, Guess we have to fight them. I blast a few of them with hot water.
